OK. This is very important. On any steep slopes in the Cirque you must watch your Slough. Especially in "Ptarmigan" Variable layers their that you are going through. Also OBEY ALL CLOSED MARKERS AND BOUNDRY ROPES. Yes conditions are greatly improved with the snow, but what may look like a nice powder field is really SHARK ROCK just under the top layer. So be safe. We are supposed to get more snow tonight, so more powder turns in our video tomorrow.
Man this storm cycle just keeps dropping 4-6" of fresh snow each day. Avalanche danger is high after the two warm days we had with clear nights so be careful and obey all closed markers and ropes. Conditions are getting better, but the Wall in Hanging Valley is still very Rocky. And stay within the ropes of the Cirque or you will end up crashing in shark rock when you thought it was a soft powder field.
Well with the few inches of new snow we are getting new terrain is slowly opening and being made safe by patrol. Thank God because it has been very boring skiing the same stuff each day. LOL. Enjoy this powder day and the first turns in the Y-Zone of Hanging Valley.
